(A) The purpose of this chapter is to promote the health, safety, economic, aesthetic and general welfare of the citizens of the city, and to protect neighborhoods against nuisances by establishing requirements for maintenance of all buildings and structures and by establishing requirements for the maintenance of all land, whether improved or unimproved.

(B) The city council shall adopt by resolution policies and procedures for the purpose of promoting voluntary cleanup and maintenance efforts within the city. (Ord. No. 2019-01, §§ 1, 2, 1-2-19. 1976 Code § 9-4-1)
