Oversize: The city requires the installation of a line of a diameter in excess of that required under Section 12.05.280 and pays the additional cost for the larger diameter pipe.

Public water main: Synonymous with “public water line.”

Special water line: Any city-owned water main line, where the cost of installation or oversizing of said main line was paid with city funds. “Special water line” shall not include any main where the costs were assessed to or borne by the abutting properties and which has been designated as a special water line by resolution of the city council.
