(A) Presiding Officer. The presiding officer of the magistrate court shall be the city magistrate, who shall be appointed by the council for a term of two (2) years, subject to removal for cause.

(B) Associate Magistrates. The city council may appoint one (1) or more associate magistrates who shall serve for two (2) years and for such salary as the council may determine. (Ord.
