For purposes of this title, certain terms, phrases, words, and their derivations shall be construed as specified herein. The word “person” includes a firm, association, organization, partnership, trust, company, or corporation as well as an individual. The word “shall” is mandatory and the word “may” is permissive, except when used in the negative. When not inconsistent with the context, the present tense includes the future, the singular includes the plural, and the plural includes the singular. Where terms are not defined, they have their ordinarily accepted meanings within the context in which they are used.
